Tyler Perry was understandably heartbroken by the death of his longtime family friend, Bobbi Kristina Brown, and shared his first words about the sad news on July 28. Read it here.
The news of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s tragic death is absolutely devastating, and those close to the daughter of Whitney Houston are absolutely reeling with sadness. That includes Tyler Perry, who was an extremely close friend of Whitney and Bobbi for many years, and the actor released an tear-inducing tweet about the horrible ordeal.
“I’m a writer with no words…. Bobbi Kris,” he wrote, simply. He sent the tweet on July 28, two days after the Houston family confirmed that Bobbi passed.
We are incredibly heartbroken for Tyler, who had a brother-sister relationship with Whitney before she died, and remained close with BK afterward. “He’s watched Bobbi grow up throughout the years. He’s always treated her like she was his own he, years ago, made a vow to Whitney that he’d always be there for Bobbi,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
After six months in a coma, Bobbi sadly passed away on July 26. “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away on Sunday July 26, 2015 surrounded by her family,” the family said in a statement. “She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
Bobbi’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, and friend, Max Lomas, found her unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31, and she remained in a medically-induced coma since. On June 24, she was moved to a hospice center in Georgia to “die peacefully,” and was able to hang out for just over a month before reaching her tragic, inevitable fate.
Our thoughts our with Tyler, the Houston/Brown families, and anyone else close to Bobbi during this difficult time.
