Kate Hudson is getting back to work…with her dad! The actress and ‘Pa’ Kurt Russell are set to star in their first film together and judging by her latest Instagram video, they’re already having a BLAST on set. See their cute father-daughter moment here!
Kate Hudson, 36, and Kurt Russell, 64, are about to give a whole new meaning to “Take Your Daughter to Work Day.” For the first time ever, the father-daughter pair are set to star in a film together and on July 27 the actress commemorated the occasion with a sweet video of her and her ‘Pa’ taking a scenic helicopter ride on location. Daddy-daughter moments just don’t get much cuter than this!
First, she gave us a mother-son bonding video for the ages, and now Kate is giving the world a look into her close relationship with her adopted father Kurt. The actress was clearly thrilled to begin work on her latest film project, Deepwater Horizon, co-starring her dad when she took to Instagram on July 27 to share an adorable video of the two flying in a helicopter while on location in New Orleans. “Back to work and first time working with my Pa,” the actress captioned the short clip, which had been set to Ellie Goulding’s , 28, “Anything Can Happen.” Later in the day, the actress also posted an Instagram photo of Kurt and fellow co-star Mark Wahlberg, 44, posing in front of said helicopter, captioning the pic, “No Monday blues when you’re working with these fellas :) #DeepwaterHorizon.” Consider us jealous!
We for one are incredibly happy to see Kate spending time with Kurt − her adopted father and partner to mom Goldie Hawn for over 30 years — especially considering her recent fall out with her biological father, Bill Hudson, 65. You’ll recall, the family drama began on Father’s Day when Kate’s older brother Oliver Hudson, 38, slammed Bill on Instagram with a childhood photo of himself posing with Bill and Kate alongside the caption: “Happy Abandonment Day…” The “sarcastic” photo didn’t go over well with Bill, who responded by publicly disowning his kids and claiming he wished he never saw them again. “That was like a dagger to the heart,” he said in an EXCLUSIVE interview to Daily Mail. “If what he wanted was me out of their lives, then he’s succeeded. I don’t want to see either of my eldest children ever again. It’s over.” Bill even went as far as to ask that Kate and Oliver, both accomplished actors, stop using his last name — how sad! Thankfully, it was Kurt who revealed on July 12 that Bill and Oliver had started talking once again and were on the road to mending their relationship — hopefully the same goes for Kate. Meanwhile, both of the Hudson children continue to share a close relationship with Kurt, and routinely turn to Instagram to show their love and appreciation for the famous actor.
