Teresa Giudice, who is currently serving a 15-month sentence in jail, is set to make her return to ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’– but under very specific stipulations.
Teresa Giudice will return to Real Housewives of New Jersey-–but only via telephone. In a special 2-part episode of the series which made Teresa famous, the housewife will speak about how jail has treated her in the months since she began her sentence back in January. The special, which does not yet have a specified airdate, will also feature interviews with Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice, who has been caring for the couple’s four children while his wife serves her sentence.
When Teresa does complete her sentence in February, Joe will then begin his own stint in jail, serving 41 months. Despite attempts, Bravo was unable to get cameras inside the actual prison, according to TMZ, so a phone interview was the next best option.
If you think that Teresa and Joe are participating in the special out of sheer goodwill, think again. Teresa will be profiting off the appearance, which is totally legal and does not interfere with the “Son of Sam” law that prohibits profiting off some specific crimes.
The special episode won’t be the first we’ve seen of Teresa since she began her sentence. In fact, back in May, Joe and their four daughters visited their mama in jail for mother’s day, and the family was kind enough to share a sweet photo of themselves back together again. The pic was definitely bittersweet, and it has to be noted that Teresa is rocking a dark green jumpsuit (which totally compliments her complexion, to be honest).
What do you guys think about Teresa appearing on a special Real Housewives while she’s still in jail? Smart move or bizarre decision? Tell us your thoughts!
