How can one person contain this much talent? Chris Evans is set to make his directorial debut in the upcoming film ‘Before We Go’– and, because he isn’t perfect enough, he also headlines the romantic drama. Watch the trailer to make your heart feel all aflutter!
In Before We Go, which will hit theaters on Sept. 4, Chris Evans and Alice Eve spend one evening together which may or may not drastically altar the course of their lives. After her purse is stolen and she misses her train from Grand Central station– the last one of the night– Chris makes it his duty to help Alice get through the night safely. However, as these things tend to go, life has other plans and fate intervenes. Watch the trailer now to see Chris looking all kinds of amazing in his directorial debut!
“I feel that we met here in Grand Central for a reason,” Alice says at the start of this trailer. “We were meant to find each other,” she adds setting the tone for this melancholic romp through New York City which takes place over the course of one destiny-fueled evening.
It’s 1:30 am, and Alice races through the train station as Chris busks from the sidelines, playing his trumpet. He watches as the last train of the night departs without her. Defeated, she stands on the sidewalk outside.
“You sure you’re okay?” he asks, walking up next to her. She quickly informs him that he cannot help her (oh, romance movies, your tropes never cease to make my heart melt). Alice also lets it be known almost immediately that she’s married– though, as Chris points out, she isn’t rocking a wedding ring.
“It’s possible that you could meet somebody that was perfect for you, even though you’re committed to somebody else?” Alice asks him as their night unfolds. “We love who we love,” he responds. “It sucks.”
What do you think of the trailer? Are you excited that Chris is directing?
