When the director of your favorite show tells President Obama that your favorite character is dead, that’s when you know it’s real. Well, that’s exactly what ‘Game Of Thrones’ director David Nutter told President Obama, and our Commander-in-chief wasn’t happy about it.
President Barack Obama, 53, is just like us. All he wants to know is the true fate of Jon Snow (Kit Harington) after that jaw-dropping Game of Thrones finale. Well, director David Nutter revealed at Comic-Con on July 10 that he confirmed to President Obama that Jon Snow is D-E-A-D.
“Three weeks ago, I was in the company of the President of the United States,” David told Entertainment Weekly at Comic-Con. “He turned to me, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, ‘You didn’t kill Jon Snow did you?'”
Okay, this is it. The opportunity for David to give Game of Thrones fans all over the world the hope we’ve been desperately waiting for. He can’t keep the true fate of Jon Snow from the President of the United States, right?
“I said, ‘Jon Snow is deader than dead,’” the director said. “I thought I was going to be sent to Guantanamo or something, but fortunately I’m here — but he’s dead.” President Obama replied, “You keep killing off my favorite characters.”
You got that right, President Obama. Fans of the wildly popular HBO show have been speculating ways Jon Snow could return ever since the season five finale. Jon Snow was stabbed and left to die by the members of the Night’s Watch. Kit confirmed that he was not coming back for season six, but fans refuse to believe he’s gone for good. Co-star Emilia Clarke said there was a “50/50” chance he could return, and Kit still has his Jon Snow-esque long hair, so we all still have faith.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Jon Snow is truly gone for good? Do you think David is lying to President Obama? Let us know!
