Praise! A first trailer for season two of ‘Rick and Morty’ has just been released and it is as crude, shocking and hilarious as you’d expect. Check out the trailer to see for yourself!
Rick and Morty returns to Adult Swim for its second season on July 26, and it promises to be just as outrageous as the first– and the trailer definitely proves it. In the two-minute clip alone, we see that Rick will attempt to teach Morty how to drive so he can, in his words, “be free to go on all kinds of errands for me.” Such a supportive grandpa.
Marty will also perhaps face some competition from someone looking to swoop in on his sidekick status! Watch your back kid.
For those who don’t know, Rick and Morty tells the story of Rick Sanchez. After having been missing for nearly 20 years, Rick suddenly arrives at daughter Beth’s doorstep to move in with her and her family, according to an official description. Although Beth welcomes Rick into her home, her husband, Jerry, isn’t as happy about the family reunion. Jerry is concerned about Rick, a sociopathic scientist, using the garage as his personal laboratory. In the lab, Rick works on a number of sci-fi gadgets, some of which could be considered dangerous. But that’s not all Rick does that concerns Jerry. He also goes on adventures across the universe that often involve his grandchildren, Morty and Summer.
The series was created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, who also provides the voices for both main characters. It also boasts the accomplishment of being “Adult Swim’s most scientifically accurate animated comedy.” Who knew such a category even existed?
What do you think of the season two trailer? Are you excited for new episodes?
