Taylor Swift thinks her besties Selena Gomez and Ed Sheeran need to join forces and create some beautiful music together, HollywoodLife.com can EXCLUSIVELY reveal. Tay believes her two pals would make an absolutely ‘perfect’ songwriting team! Sounds good to us!
It sounds good in theory, and Taylor Swift, 25, certainly agrees! The “Bad Blood” singer feels that her pals Ed Sheeran, 24, and Selena Gomez, 22, should team up together and write a hit record. In fact, it was Taylor’s idea for the two to partner up as she thinks the pair would make a “perfect” songwriting team, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned.
Ed and Selena hung out together at the Nice Guy bar and lounge in Los Angeles on June 25 for Tori Kelly’s album launch party, where they talked through some ideas about working together. “It was Taylor that suggested the pair team up,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com. “She had so much success with Ed on her Red album, and thinks he’d be a perfect songwriting partner for Selena. Taylor will always be thankful to Ed for helping her hone her talents, and knows how talented he is to be able to help Selena out too.”
Selena and Ed did manage to avoid an awkward run-in with her ex Justin Bieber, 21, at the Tori show. The “Good For You” singer apparently avoided him completely, according to Us Weekly. Both Selena and Justin reportedly spotted each other at one point and neither one of them made an attempt to say hello.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reeported, Selena and Ed have been getting friendly, but it’s not because they’re an item. Instead, the talented duo are considering collaborating together and making a hit song. “Ed and Selena have been hanging out a lot together, but there’s nothing going on there. They just want to get to know each other better because they’re considering working with one another,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “Ed would love to write for Selena. He thinks she’s super-talented, has a great voice and the right appeal to front one of his songs,” our source continues. However, “Ed doesn’t want to start anything with Justin and write a song for Selena about him. He feels she should concentrate on something else.”
What d’you think, HollywoodLifers? Are you eagerly anticipating this collaboration?
