It’s official — Emma Roberts will be checking in to ‘American Horror Story: Hotel,’ Ryan Murphy confirmed to HollywoodLife.com in a new interview. And yes, she’ll be working with her ex boyfriend who will play a villain this season, Evan Peters.
It’s no surprise that Emma Roberts will once again be in Ryan Murphy‘s American Horror Story: Hotel, after he literally wrote the original season one, Coven part for her. During an LA screening of Ryan’s other show, in which Emma’s the lead in, Ryan told us exclusively that she was actually hesitant to sign on for Scream Queens — because she wanted to be sure she could do AHS. So, he found a way to put her in both.
“I’ve known her for a long time, and I’ve worked with her before,” Ryan said, remembering AHS: Coven, and He knew he wanted her for Scream Queens, too. “So we had Jamie Lee [Curtis], and I went to her and I said, ‘Please do this part.’ Because she thought she was coming back to do Horror Story, she was like, ‘Wait, I don’t want to miss Horror Story. [So I said], ‘Okay, well, we have a script come in.’ So she came in, and she read one script. She’s like, ‘Okay, I’m in.’ But she’s still going to do episodes of Horror Story at the end.”
So, what can we expect from her character? Well, Ryan’s keeping pretty tight lipped — for now. “She comes at the end, and she has a great thing with Evan Peters. We start Horror Story in December, so Emma’s going to do a fun thing at the end with Evan. That’s all I can say.” Well, that may be a little odd since Evan and Emma just broke up and called off their engagement, but we’ve seen them together on screen time and time again, and we know for Ryan, they’ll make it work.
