Kristen Stewart is struggling with being thrust back into the spotlight following her mom’s interview allegedly outing her relationship with Alicia Cargile — she’s struggling so much that she completely skipped the red carpet at a LA event on June 16!
We applaud Kristen Stewart, 25, for not letting the drama with her momma’s interview get her too down. The actress got all dolled up and attended the Women In Film Crystal & Lucy Awards in Los Angeles. Even though she opted to skip the red carpet (we totally get it), she still got up on stage during the event to speak — find out more!
Kristen decided not to walk the red carpet, and instead, the actress snuck into the event through a side door. It’s been a pretty crazy week for the actress. In case you missed it, Kristen’s mom did an interview with The Sunday Mirror on June 13, in which she allegedly told a reporter that her daughter is dating Alicia Cargile. “What’s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She’s happy,” she reportedly said.
The whole drama was that Kristen’s mom came out after the article was published and claimed that she never said those things! The reporter, Sharon Feinstein, has denied her claims, telling HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “That is simply incorrect. I have reported the story as discussed and memorialized during our lengthy and cordial formal interview.”
Regardless of the truth, we know Kristen is very upset that this drama has landed her back into the spotlight, a place that she tries her hardest to avoid. “It’s very upsetting for Kristen because she hates having the spotlight on her personal life. She’s been living a relatively anonymous life, at least when you compare it to what she went through with Rob, so this feels like a big step backwards. She can’t wait for it to be over and for people to leave her alone again,” an insider spilled to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
