OMG you guys! Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson, also known as Kelso and Hyde of ‘That 70s Show,’ are going to be back on screen together again. We are definitely all alright!
Praise the TV Gods! Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson will star together in a new Netflix series, The Ranch, which will hit the streaming site at some point in 2016. The news is enough to make our early 2000s-loving hearts explode, as the two most famously appeared together in the hit series That 70s Show, which wrapped in 2006. We’ve got all the deets on the exciting new series!
Kelso and Hyde will be together again! Well, the actors who played them will be. In The Ranch, Ashton will play a semi-pro football player who must return to his hometown in Colorado to help his brother run the family ranch, according to our sister site Deadline.
Any guesses as to whom the role of Ashton’s brother will be played by? Yup, it’s Danny! In case it wasn’t clear, the series will be a comedy, shot in the traditional multi-cam format, and will come from the minds of Don Reo and Jim Patterson, who were also the show runners on Two and a Half Men (a show Ashton is familiar with).
One notable feature about The Ranch, is that it will break the Netflix tradition of dropping every single episode all at once. The show, which got a straight-to-series, 20 episode order, will actually debut in two installments, each consisting of ten episodes.
What do you think of the That 70s Show reunion? Are you excited to see Ashton and Danny in a new series, or do you wish they’d do a 70s revival?
