Niall Horan and Ariana Grande are the definition of #FriendshipGoals! The singers have gotten super close over the last few weeks, and reunited once again at a birthday party for Alfredo Flores in Spain on June 15.
Ariana Grande, 21, has made it pretty clear that she is NOT dating Niall Horan…but that doesn’t mean the two aren’t great friends! In fact, they were spotted hanging out together yet again on June 15, when they both attended Aflredo Flores’ birthday party in Barcelona.
The pair arrived separately at Botafumeiro restaurant for the bash, but were definitely both inside with the large group. And while Ari conveniently will be performing in Barcelona on June 16, Niall took a bit of a detour, making a pit stop in Spain ahead of One Direction’s show in Denmark, also on the 16. Ariana and her rep have denied speculation that she and Niall are dating, but considering how much they’ve been hanging out lately, fans are still hoping for a romance! It all started on June 1, after the “Break Free” singer’s show in London, and afterward, the pair partied with mutual friends, including her ex, Nathan Sykes, at Cirque Le Soir.
Just two days later, Ariana went to a party at Niall’s house, and was photographed leaving in the wee hours of the morning. “Ariana is friends with Niall. He had a big party that she was leaving,” her rep explained to HollywoodLife.com. Later that day, they hung out again, reuniting for a shopping trip and another late night rendezvous at Ari’s hotel!
But the former Nickelodeon star has been very vocal about how she does NOT want to be identified based on a man. “A girl can be friends with someone with a d**k and not hop on it,” she said. “I’m tired of needing to be linked to a guy. I’m not Big Sean’s ex, I’m not Niall’s new possible girl. I’m Ariana Grande.”
She also released an essay regarding how women are viewed, and received praise from fellow stars like Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez. “I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present or future PROPERTY/POSESSION. I .. do not belong. to anyone. but myself,” she wrote. “And neither do you. I have clearly not been having the boy questions in my interviews lately because I have come to the realization that I have SO. MUCH. MORE. to talk about.” AMEN!
HollywoodLifers, tell us: Do you wish that Ariana and Niall would become something more than friends?
