Fashionable First Lady Michelle Obama skipped across the pond where she showed off two dresses, (including a floral frock for tea with Prince Harry!). What do you think of her pretty, printed frocks? Did she make a fierce fashion statement or was it a total flop? VOTE.
Michelle Obama, 51, always keeps things interesting with her fashion choices — and that’s just what she did when she touched down at Stanstead Airport on June 15 in London, where she looked like a ray of sunshine in her lace Preen dress. The first lady opted for a baby blue and yellow ensemble as she was joined by her two daughters, Sasha and Malia.
Traveling in style! Michelle opted for a 3/4-sleeve dress which featured a full, pleated skirt and blue lace print over the yellow ensemble — the bright pops of color kept the feel light and summery — and that’s not the only look she showed off! While overseas Michelle and her daughters met with Prince Harry for tea to discuss the “Let Girls Learn” program on June 16, where Michelle opted for a floral short-sleeved frock, which she also showed off as she visited the Mulberry School for Girls, where she spoke out about her education initiative and posed for selfies with the students.
Michelle’s short-sleeved Mary Katrantzou dress in a bold, floral print looked gorgeous on the first lady, as she relied on her go-to silhouette for the occasion — a frock with a full skirt. She polished off the look with a pair of hanging statement earrings — I love the way they complimented the ensemble without taking away from the bold, pretty print of the dress.
An affinity for prints seems to run in the family, as both Malia and Sasha showed off eye-catching looks when they touched down in the UK on June 15. While Sasha kept it stylin’ in polka dots, Malia stuck to the summery theme in her alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet sunflower mini.
While Michelle’s lacy look was bright and summery, I definitely prefer her floral frock. What do you think? Was her choice of prints a pretty choice or did she suffer a fashion flop on this occasion? VOTE and let us know.
