Congrats, Warriors! The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors went head to head on June 16, in Game 6, which determined whether the Warriors would take home the title as this year’s NBA champs. After a hard won battle, the Warriors defeated the Cavs, 105-97.
After the Golden State Warriors showed the Cleveland Cavaliers who was boss, leading the series 3-2, a super heated match was unavoidable. With the Warriors hungry for the trophy and the Cavs anxious to take them down, the pressure was certainly on for LeBron James, 30, Stephen Curry, 27, and their basketball buddies. Alas, the Warriors showed the Cavs they can’t be messed with. This is their first Championship since 1975!
The Warriors led pretty much throughout the game, so it’s no surprise that they came out on top. The first period showed the Cavs starting out with a few points, but it didn’t take long for the Warriors to catch up in the first quarter. The Cavs trailed by 13 at the end of the first quarter but they turned up the heat in the second quarter, making a comeback. However, the Warriors were able to keep on scoring hoops, especially with Stephen on top of his game. The Cavs had 13 turnovers in the first half and shot more free throws in the first half than the Warriors. At halftime, the game was close: Warriors 45, Cavaliers 43.
In the third quarter, there was energy from both teams ready to win it, but by the end of the third quarter the Warriors stayed strong. Steph rarely missed a shot while LeBron seemingly lost steam. While Cleveland attempted to make a comeback in the fourth quarter, keeping it close — the score at one point being 100-94, the Warriors won 105-97.
Throughout his NBA Finals journey, LeBron has certainly had some major distractions — like accidentally flashing his penis on camera. So it’s no surprise that there’s been a few losses among the father-of-three’s multiple wins. Luckily for the family man, he’s been able to turn to his children for moral support throughout the tough times. Aww!
“LeBron’s family is keeping him emotionally level during the roller coaster of emotions he goes through during the series,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s not getting too high when they win and not getting too low when they lose and that’s really due to the grounding influence of his children.” Seriously, it’s so precious that LeBron James Jr., Bruce Maximus and and Zhuri have been there to encourage their sports star dad. He will definitely need to rely on his family after the Cavs loss.
