This is so… Strange. A first trailer for the very buzzed about Lifetime movie, ‘A Deadly Adoption’ (you know, the one starring Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig) has just been released, and it leaves us with a lot of questions!
Back in April, it was announced that Saturday Night Live alums Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig would be departing from their usual comedic personas, and instead stepping into a Lifetime movie, A Deadly Adoption. Fans were, naturally, shocked at the news, with many going so far as to think it was a joke. However after watching this first teaser, it’s pretty clear that that movie, which will air on the Lifetime network on June 20, is definitely for real. Watch the clip now!
Aside from one poster, Deadly Adoption has been kept pretty much under wraps, as far as details. Now, though, we’re getting our first substantial look at the film, and we have to say it looks beyond creepy.
The premise of the flick is also pretty unnerving. Inspired by a true story, it is a high-stakes dramatic thriller about a successful couple (Will and Kristen) who house and care for a pregnant woman (Jessica Lowndes) during the final months of her pregnancy with the hope of adopting her unborn child, according to a description.
Though the clip is a mere 20 seconds, it definitely gets the blood pumping. We see Will, standing in the middle of a road, with a huge spot of blood on his chest. Meanwhile, Kristen is passenger seat in a car, with who we can assume is the pregnant girl behind the wheel. “We could have had a happy life together,” we hear Kristen say in the background. We then see Kristen holding a pistol, pointing it with a look of fury at we don’t know who.
Looks pretty insane right? What do you think of the teaser?
