The casting is officially underway for ‘Fuller House,’ and now that Danny Tanner is officially a grandpa, we have to assume he spends his free time vacuuming the stairs. But he’s actually married — and it’s not to Vicky!
Call me crazy, but I was always Team Vanny — okay, shipper names didn’t exist then, but still, I was partial to Danny Tanner (Bob Saget) and Vicky Larson (Gail Edwards). However, we’ve just found out that the Fuller House team is casting a wife right now for Danny — and they’re not looking for Vicky. That means that after they separated in season seven, they never found each other again! So, who’s he married to?
The revival is searching for an actress to play his wife, Teri, described as a “40-year-old African-American woman” who is “attractive, vivacious … and youthful,” our sister site TVLine broke! She also reportedly has “quite an appetite for Danny and isn’t afraid to shower him with affection.” The only part in that description that sounds like Danny Tanner is “shower” so I’m a little bit confused… and worried I’ll be seeing him making out a lot.
Another role the Netflix series is looking for is Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber)’s ex-husband, Fernando. According to TVLine he also is “inappropriately passionate” and has “quite an appetite” for women. He also plans on trying get Kimmy back, and has a good relationship with Ramona, their daughter. We’re curious as to just how much time Fernando will be spending at the Fuller house (yes, DJ’s last name is now Fuller). So this means that Kimmy didn’t end up with Dwayne either! Whatever.
The show will revolve around DJ Tanner-turned-Fuller (Candace Cameron-Bure), who will be a recent widow, with two children: a 12 or 13-year-old son, Jessie Daniel, and Max, a 6 or 7-year-old with OCD like Danny. While we know many of the originals will return — John Stamos as Uncle Jesse, Lori Loughlin as Aunt Becky, Dave Coulier as Joey and of course Bob as Danny, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not return.
So, are you shocked that Danny didn’t end up with Vicky? Let us know!
