Well, that didn’t take long. A few days after a video was released, showing Eric Casebolt slamming a 15-year-old girl to the ground and pulling out his gun during a Texas pool party, the police officer resigned, his attorney said, according to a new report. Find out all the details!
Eric Casebolt, the 41-year-old officer who was videotaped slamming a young girl to the ground and pointing his gun towards others at a recent Texas pool party, has resigned, his attorney said. His actions, according to the local police chief, are “indefensible.”
“Our policies, our training, our practice do not support his actions,” McKinney Chief of Police Greg Conley said during a press conference on June 9. Greg said Eric was “out of control,” but he praised the 11 other officers who were on the scene at the time of the incident, according to ABC News. “I had 12 officers on the scene and 11 of them… did an incredible job,” he said.

Eric was put on administrative leave this past weekend, following the incident, but his lawyer recently told ABC News that he has since resigned.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, people were outraged after seeing footage of police officers in McKinney, Texas terrorizing teens at a pool party without good reason. In the clip (watch it above), you can see Eric, a caucasian male, throwing a 15-year-old black girl, Dajerria Becton, to the ground when she doesn’t listen to him. When she tries to get up, he throws her back down — on concrete. As the officer continues to assault the girl, the crowd closes in on him, and that’s when he pulls out his gun and charges at two guys. It’s tough to watch. And Greg was right to call Eric’s actions “out of control.”
