The first look at Megyn Kelly’s sit down interview with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar is here — and they’re admitting their thoughts when they found out about the Josh Duggar molestation case.
For the first time since Josh Duggar‘s scandal case broke, the 19 Kids & Counting star’s parents are sitting down on June 3 at 9pm for an interview with Megyn Kelly on Fox’s The Kelly File. In the first sneak peek, Michelle Duggar is moved to tears, revealing how heartbroken she and her husband were when their son came to them 12 years ago with a disturbing confession.
“This is a young boy who has come to you with shocking information. What did he say? How did you respond to him? What was that like, that exchange?” Megyn asks Michelle and Jim Bob. Through tears, Michelle says that there was a lot of “grief.”
“As parents, we felt, we’re failures,” Michelle answers. “Here we try to raise our kids to do what’s right, to know what’s right and yet, one of our children made some really bad choices. As parents, we were devastated.”
Megyn chatted about what to expect on her show on Monday, and of course was asked how tough she would be on them, as this is the first interview since the scandal broke.
How Far Will Interview Go?
“I’ll take that reputation as a tough but fair journalist,” Megyn said on her show on June 1. “However, this isn’t going to be a cross-examination of a family. It’s going to be an interview. I want to hear their story. And I think America wants to hear their story now. Nothing is off limits.
However, she will not ask about the specific actions that Josh took with children. “My understanding is the victims don’t want to discuss that either,” she said. Here is the preview of Megyn’s sit down interview with Jim Bob and Michelle. You can watch the full interview on June 3 at 9PM.
