Caitlyn Jenner appeared on the cover of the ‘Breakfast of Champions’ box in 1977 and now fans are lobbying General Mills to put Caitlyn on the box as the first transgender athlete on it! HollywoodLife.com spoke to them and got their reaction and you’re definitely going to want to read it!
Caitlyn Jenner is making history left and right. The former men’s decathlon winner at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal set a world record when winning the gold medal and famously was featured on a Wheaties box in 1977. Now HollywoodLife.com has spoken to General Mills to find out if they will ever put Caitlyn, 65, on a future box and now their response definitely seems as though it’s a possibility and we think it would be amazing, don’t you?
“Bruce Jenner has been a respected member of Team Wheaties, and Caitlyn Jenner will continue to be,” Rhonda Short, Consumer Response Representative tells HollywoodLife.com. “We always appreciate hearing from our consumers, but of course we do not discuss our future marketing plans.” We would be so thrilled if Caitlyn was on the box! “Bruce always had to tell a lie,” Caitlyn says in her Vanity Fair video. “He was living that lie every day — he had a secret from morning til night. Caitlyn doesn’t have any secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out I’m free.”
Caitlyn Jenner’s First Tweet To The World
Caitlyn took to Twitter on June 1 and tweeted to the world about her groundbreaking cover: “I’m so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can’t wait for you to get to know her/me.” The coolest part about all of this is that in four hours, Caitlyn amassed over one million followers which is a world record! We are so proud of her and can’t wait for this next chapter in her life to keep on going.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Caitlyn should get her own Wheaties box?
