‘The Bachelorette’ picked up right where it left off: Kupah freaking out at the producers. Luckily, Kaitlyn walked out and basically told him to pull it together and go home. And that was just the start of it.
Following Kupah’s ridiculous actions, Kaitlyn Bristowe started this week with a rose ceremony. Luckily, she had a fun couple days ahead of her, which included sex education, sumo wrestling, and a terrrifying-turned-super-romantic date night.
During the first rose ceremony of the night, after many ramblings, healer Tony somehow made it through, sending home Daniel and Cory. She had a tough time with it all, so why not bring in soe sumo wrestlers to cheer her up, right? Right.
The first group date went to Clint, Chris, Tony, JJ, Joe and Shawn B. and basically there was just junk everywhere smashing into each other. Tony was too peaceful for all this violence so decided to send himself home from “the circus.” After the men sumo’d for a crowd, they tried for 1-1 time — but not Clint because he thought if she wanted time with him, she’s approach him. Apparently, he’s never seen The Bachelorette. He admitted to the cameras after the date that he was kind of over her but wanted to keep forming relationships with the men, specifically JJ. (Well, you’re the only one who likes him so.)
Ben Z. was chosen for the one-on-one date, but he probably didn’t feel too honored — Kaitlyn didn’t choose him, but Chris Harrison did. So they played “escape the room” which literally was a scavenger hunt through everything you can imagine that was scary. Of course, to Kaitlyn it was the pigeon — nope, not the snakes or scorpion or maggots — the pigeon. Needless to say, Ben impressed Kaitlyn with his mainly self, so it was time for some romantic time.
He (kind of) opened up about the day his mother passed away, which got me choked up but not him — he said that he hadn’t cried in 11 years! Oh and then they made out and got in the hot tub. I know, shocking. Naturally, he got a rose.
The next group date went to Ryan B., Joshua, Ben H., Jonathan, Tanner, and Jared who taught some students sex education. Alright, it was all a prank by Kaitlyn. So funny, girl. Ben H. literally said everything perfectly and even made it romantic somehow. It wasn’t surprising that they made out, he dipped her, and she gave him the rose — in front of everyone. And he called her his girlfriend, which while not accurate, was super adorable.
JJ & Clint Raise Eyebrows
Meanwhile, all the men at the house were wondering what was going on between JJ and Clint. Clint admitted that he was more close with JJ than with Kaitlyn and actually talked about showering with him so I’m not going to lie — I was kinda confused. “The possibility to coming on The Bachelorette and falling in love with a man never crossed my mind and at this point, I’m a success story,” he told the camera. “I love JJ. He has made my time in the house completely enjoyable.”
During the rose ceremony, Kaitlyn checks in with the “friction” so that means Clint — who literally told the camera he just wanted a rose to stay with JJ. Well, they made out but it wasn’t enough for her and she could see through it, especially after everyone pretty much told her that Clint was not a good guy and simply wanted to “wear the villain hat.” So, she came in, super angry, told the cameras he was “one the of the biggest douches in Bachelor history,” and . . . to be continued.
So, how did JJ and Clint see it? “Villains gotta Vill.” Not to worry, next week they’re in each other’s faces and JJ’s slapping himself across the face.
