Barack Obama might be the coolest President ever. Just hours after Caitlyn Jenner revealed her ‘Vanity Fair’ cover to the world, POTUS commended her for the ‘courage’ it must have taken her to share her story. See what else he said here!
Caitlyn Jenner, 65, may have beaten President Obama‘s record for the fastest growing Twitter account on June 1, but there are no hard feelings. In fact, POTUS showed his support for the woman formerly known as Bruce Jenner by celebrating her bravery on the social media site.
“It takes courage to share your story,” President Obama tweeted in response to Caitlyn’s first tweet. “Your story matters in the fight for LGBT rights—share it here: http://ofa.bo/s6mA,” he then added. That it does! We certainly share the President’s sentiments.
Caitlyn Jenner’s Twitter Beats Obama’s Record For Fastest Growing Account
What’s also cool is that Caitlyn beat the President’s record for the fastest growing Twitter account of all time. Within her first hour on the social media site, Caitlyn attracted 280,000 followers. Since then, her Twitter page has accumulated 1.5M followers! And she racked up the first million in just four hours. When POTUS joined the social media site on May 18, he gained one million followers in approximately 4.5 hours, according to the Guinness World Record. Obviously, Caitlyn attracted more followers in less time, so she now holds the record. Good for her!
It’s no surprise that Caitlyn has attracted so many followers. Her story has been and continues to be inspirational, as she encourages people to be true to themselves. We’re excited to see what she tweets next! Check out her latest below:
