Who Won Dancing With The Stars? — We Reveal The Season 20 Winner
The finale episode was full of special guests and touching moments.
First, Riker Lynch and Allison Holker danced the encore dance — a repeat of their classic yet modern Freestyle performance from last night.
Next, we were treated to a musical performance by Redfoo, who sang and danced to “Juicy Wiggle” with partner Emma Slater.
Then, previously voted off couples Keo Motsepe and Charlotte McKinney, Tony Dovolani and Suzanne Somers, and Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavic danced a few steps around the ballroom.
Then, Jason Derulo rocked the dance floor with his single “Want To Want Me.”
Next, a touching moment as double amputee Amy Purdy from season 18 and Noah Galloway danced together.
After the massive girl power moment, we got treated to a Magic Mike-inspired dance by the male professionals. Not complaining. Just give me a second to rewind my DVR.
My favorite part of the night came when Derek and Julianne Hough danced to Sia‘s “Elastic Heart” alongside 2 young dancers — a young “Derek and Julianne.” It was phenomenal.
Patti LaBelle and Artem Chigvintsey reprised their “In Da Club” performance, and Patti was wearing 4″ heels — impressive!
The Fusion Challenge
The three finalists had 24 hours to prepare a fusion dance after last night’s show.
Up first, Sharna Burgess and Noah danced a Cha Cha and Argentine Tango blend. “Noah, you’re not always the judges’ favorite, but constantly and consistently, you’ve been the viewers’ favorite. You gave so much to America, why shouldn’t America give you the Mirror Ball?” judge Len Goodman said. Judge Bruno Tonioli called him a “legend.” Of course, the dance left me in tears. They got a 36/40!
Riker and Allison danced a Salsa and Quickstep combo. “It was sharp, it was clean. If this whole competition was based off showmanship, it’s yours. That was incredible,” Julianne said. Carrie Ann Inaba called him a superstar. “You’re the boy that brings joy,” Len said. They got a perfect score of 40!
Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy danced a Foxtrot and Paso Doble fusion. Bruno and Carrie Ann gave them a standing ovation! “It’s amazing to see how dance has transformed you,” Bruno said. “You are the real deal. In my opinion, they saved the best for last,” Carrie Ann said. “You are as good as anyone who has ever been on Dancing With The Stars,” Len said. Julianne said Rumer inspires her to be a better dancer. They got a perfect score of 40!
After an emotional ballad sung by Patti, the winner was named.
So here we go… drumroll please….
In the end, Rumer and Val took home the Mirror Ball trophy! Congratulations!
