So much love! During the ‘American Idol’ finale, all three judges performed a medley of songs together– and it was so freaking cute!
This is almost too much to handle. On the May 13 finale of American Idol, all eyes were on contestants Clark Beckham and Nick Fradiani, but hey, the judges need a little love too! Which is why, during the two-hour episode, Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. all took to the stage to perform a little ditty together. Admit it, you’re gonna miss these guys!
Harry Connick Jr., Keith Urban & Jennifer Lopez’s ‘American Idol’ Finale Performance
In other words, everyone deserved the chance to celebrate a fantastic run during the culmination episode– and boy did those three judges take advantage of that!
To kick off their performance, Jennifer gave an amazing rendition of Rihanna’s “Diamonds,” with Keith and Harry on guitar and piano, respectively. Then, they switched it up to a more upbeat tempo, singing “Locked Out Of Heaven” by Bruno Mars, with Keith pitching in to help on vocals.
Of course, Jen looked absolutely FLAWLESS, as she changed up her outfit into a sheer dress with sparkling silver fringe for the killer performance with her co-judges.
Even though they obviously have had their moments with each other this season, you’d never know it during this adorable set. Jennifer, Keith and Harry all seemed delighted to be working with one another– and we are totally delighted to watch them do their thang!
The End Of The ‘Idol’ Era
Though the judges are probably exhausted coming off this jam-packed season, they won’t have much time to rest as auditions for the 15th– and final— season of Idol are right around the corner!
And the judges better get ready, because the last season of the long running show is sure to be one of the most eventful yet. The final installment will be a “celebratory event,” according to our sister site Variety, and will honor all those who have spent time on the reality show onstage, behind the judging table and behind the scenes.
All three judges will be on hand for one final go around when the new season premieres in January, 2016, as well as host Ryan Seacrest, who is the only onscreen personality who has remained aboard the Idol ship since the very beginning.
What did you think of the judges’ group performance?
