Poor guy! Adam Levine was totally terrified when he got sugar bombed outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and HollywoodLife.com has learned EXCLUSIVELY that the Maroon 5 singer thought it was something deadly — like Anthrax!
Adam Levine, 36, had a real scare when a prankster slammed him with powdered sugar outside of the Jimmy Kimmel Live studios on May 6. The Maroon 5 singer was innocently signing autographs for his fans when it all went down, and now HollywoodLife.com can reveal EXCLUSIVELY what he was thinking in the moments after he was hit with sugar.
Adam Levine Sugar Bombed — Anthrax Scare For Maroon 5 Singer
So, how do you react when someone dumps a pound of sugar on you out of nowhere? Pretty angry, that’s how.
“Adam showed much restraint as he wanted to punch the perpetrator of the sugar bomb,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “And, with all the hysteria of the moment, he was also freaked out that it was more than just sugar.”
Of course Adam was angry and scared! People are pretty crazy these days, and you never know what they are capable of — especially in such a public space.
“He told a few people that Anthrax crossed his mind when it was originally poured on him and he was generally scared,” HL’s source continued. Yikes. That explains why he ripped off his jacket immediately after the incident and threw it on the floor.
Thankfully, it really was just a bunch of sugar, and Adam is safe and sound wherever he is now. Hopefully he doesn’t have to face any more wicked pranksters in the future!
