The morning after taking the Met Gala red carpet by storm, Beyoncé stepped out in NYC sporting the exact same ponytail, with not a single hair out of place — proof that Beyoncé does indeed wake up that flawless. Copy her glammed up ponytail look for yourself!
Trading in her custom-made Givenchy dress and Lorraine Schwartz jewels for something a little more casual (and a lot less see through), Beyoncé, 33, kept her beauty look exactly the same with her slicked back, ’80s-inspired ponytail. Queen Bey may in fact have magical hair powers since her ponytail was just as smooth and shiny on day two as it was on day one.
Beyoncé’s Met Gala Ponytail — Second Time Around
Beyoncé showed us that dressed up or dressed down, the ponytail is still a cool hairstyle to rock. The singer stepped out in NYC pairing her second day ponytail with ripped jeans, an embellished Guns N’ Roses top and a cropped white jacket.
To copy Beyoncé’s high ponytail, brush your hair out making sure it’s knot-free before applying Herbal Essences Set Me Up Gel at the roots and using a fine-toothed comb to slick your hair back into a smooth ponytail just above the crown of your head. Wrap a one-inch section of hair around the elastic and bobby pin it in place to keep it covered, then curl the hair in your ponytail and set with L’Oréal Paris Lock It Fine Control Hairspray.
Copy Beyoncé’s Ponytail Style
If you’re pulling off Beyoncé’s second-day style be sure not to sleep directly on your ponytail or you’ll crush your curls. When you wake up, apply a bit of smoothing cream like TIGI Bed Head After-Party Smoothing Cream to your hair to tame flyaways and add I-just-styled-my-hair-shine.
What did you think of Beyoncé’s high ponytail, HollywoodLifers? Did you prefer her Met Gala look, or did you like it even better the second time around?
