Okay, Reba McEntire is queen. The country legend was a hilarious and epic guest mentor on the top 12 week of ‘The Voice,’ and in this behind the scenes clip, she provides even more LOLs!
Bow down to Reba McEntire. In a just released behind the scenes clip from The Voice, we get a peek at all the hilarious action that didn’t make the air when the country singer was a special mentor on the singing competition’s top 12 week. Watch the hilarious bit now to see Reba abbreviate swear words with Blake Shelton and explain to Christina Aguilera the definition of “poot.”
‘The Voice’: Reba McEntire & Christina Aguilera Get To Know Each Other
Because we’re kinda obsessed with what she brought to the show, particularly her banter with judges Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton. In this silly behind the scenes clip, we get to see first hand how the country crooner got to know the longtime judges.
We first see Reba mentoring a contestant, who can’t seem to stop gushing about being in Reba’s presence (I mean, we cannot blame her). In a moment of downtime, Reba takes the time to ask Christina where she grew up– and then the two totally share a bonding moment!
Christina explains that she grew up mostly in Pittsburg, a city very near to Reba’s heart. “Pittsburg was my biggest fan club,” Reba says. “Over Texas or Oklahoma.” Feeling as though they were on a talk show, Xtina wraps it up by mock-holding a microphone and says, “more interesting tidbits with Reba. We’ll be right back.”
Reba Gives Christina A Vocabulary Lesson
Perhaps more hilariously, after a contestant walks out, Reba says to Christina, “well she sang the poot out of that one,” implying that the contestant had done well.
“What is poot?” Christina asks. “Fart,” reba responds, not pausing for even an instant.
Funnier still, in a mentoring session with Blake, while a contestant is walking out, Blake tells her to “keep whipping some A.” The contestant says she’ll try, before Blake adds, “that stands for ass.” Reba, of course, laughs hysterically. We feel ya, girl!
How did you like Reba as a mentor?
