Kylie Jenner looks absolutely beautiful on her very first solo Teen Vogue cover! This is the rawest look we’ve seen yet on the youngest sister of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, and even though she has a climbing 20.8 million followers, she expressed that her “self-esteem definitely wasn’t good.” Say it isn’t so! Get into Kylie’s look and how she deals with all of the hate right here.
Kylie Jenner’s Teen Vogue Cover & Interview: ‘My Self-Esteem Wasn’t Good’
Kylie is nothing short of stunning for this Teen Vogue cover spread. She was photographed by Giampaolo Sgura in the desert of Palmdale, CA with her two best friends, Telana Lynum and Anastasia Karanikolaou, along with a slew of other models clad in edgy grunge looks.
Styled by Brandon Maxwell, we get to see Kylie looking fierce in military-inspired outfits, including a stunning army green ball gown with a full train.
Kylie admitted that when she gets dolled up to go out, she goes all the way! She said: “A good night out is, like, two and a half hours for full makeup, curling hair, whatever. I love false lashes—individuals, strips, extensions.” However, her glammed up look is totally different from what we see on this cover!
Makeup artist, Maud Laceppe gave Kylie a stripped-down beauty look, using a neutral color palette, and we also finally got the chance to see why she had her short love affair with dread locks!
Kylie Jenner: ‘I’ve Heard The Worst Anyone Can Say About Me’
Kylie’s look is what caught our eye, but inside the mag she dished on the real issues that come with living in her bubble of fame.
She told Teen Vogue: “I feel like I’ve heard the worst anyone can say about me over and over every day. So it’s like my self-esteem definitely wasn’t good at a point, I guess?… But especially having the most beautiful sisters in the world…I just try to find what makes me feel good and be as confident as possible.”
Aw! We hate that Kylie struggled with her confidence, but she’s absolutely gorgeous and the girl has killer style!
She also gave the scoop on wanting to be the mother of “a million girls” in the future and more details into her life, but you’ll have to pick up a Teen Vogue on April 28 to get the rest!
