Just because ‘Teen Wolf’ is a dark and pretty messy drama, that doesn’t mean all the relationships have to be . . . right? Because it sounds like Stiles and Malia may just get a happy ending through it all — at least that’s what Dylan O’Brien hopes for!
Teen Wolf may not return for season five until June, but we’re already daydreaming about what to expect. Luckily, HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively to Dylan O’Brien about what he’s hoping happens next season between Stiles and Malia (Shelley Hennig) — and she even chimed in with a little romantic teaser of her own!
‘Teen Wolf’ Season 5 Spoilers — Will Stiles & Malia Make It Work?
“You can always expect [drama], but the [nice] stuff is just cuter to me,” Dylan told us at Paley Fest in Los Angeles when talking Stalia. “I’m a fan of ‘Ross and Rachel’ relationships!”
Yes, Dylan quoting Friends was a good moment. However, I had to point out that Ross and Rachel went through a lot and broke up . . . a lot.
“They did, but over ten years you gotta make it happen,” he answered — which is true. However, who knows if Stalia really have what it takes to survive. One thing we do know is that Malia has a lot going on in her own life, namely Desert Wolf.
Stiles & Malia Will Still Be ‘Passionate’ Through It All
“It’s really important to Stiles to help me figure it who the Desert Wolf is, who my mother is. There’s also a fear there to figure out is she good [or] is she evil?” Shelley told HollywoodLife. So, will it change their relationship? “It could. That whole situation is not easy for a 17-year-old so hopefully Stiles makes it a smoother process.”
Not to worry, though. Shelley reassured us that the passion between Stiles and Malia will still be there.
“They’ve got a lot going on, but there’s a special bond between the two, and I’m excited to see how passionate it will get in their own non-traiditional way. And also, see what challenges may come their way,” she said before adding, “He’s her person.”
That’s pretty much the same as her “lobster,” right?
Season five of Teen Wolf starts on June 29 on MTV.
