The zombies are coming, Los Angeles. That’s the message the first promo for the new sequel sends. The people of California mistake the zombie apocalypse for “a strange virus” in Fear The Walking Dead, the prequel of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Watch the creepy first footage from the show right here.
‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Teaser
“Los Angeles, hope you got your flu shot,” a news reporter says in the new trailer, which aired during the season five finale of The Walking Dead. “Reports in five states, that a strange virus is going around, so if you’re not feeling well, go home, and take care of yourself.”
Well LA, this isn’t exactly the common cold.
In the trailer, we don’t see much — just the town and a creepy look at a zombie stumbling through a tunnel.
Prequel To Follow In ‘Walking Dead’ Success
The show will air in just a few months in the summer, as it has been filming in L.A. Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Dave Alpert and Dave Erickson will be the executive producers as well as the amazing special effects makeup artist, Greg Nicotero.
Plus, they’ve landed a stellar cast.
Cliff Curtis will take on the role of teacher Sean Cabrera, while Sons of Anarchy‘s Kim Dickens will play guidance counselor, Nancy Tompkins. Nancy’s children Nick and Ashely will be played by Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey.
