“Zayn won’t be disappointing fans by just rapping on his records — he has put his falsetto voice to the test on several songs.” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “He’s really been listening to a lot of Drake’s stuff, and has been inspired by his work and wants to channel a little bit of that.”

Wow. Drake is a radically different artist in the music industry. We have to admire Zayn for wanting to step so far out of his comfort zone.

“Zayn has been listening to a lot of Drake — he’s always been a big fan,” the source continued. “He’s hoping that some of the magic will rub off on him, and he’ll be able to put together an album to rival his inspiration in the R&B charts.”

Not only could Zayn rival Drake, he could possibly top One Direction on the charts!

Zayn Malik’s New Sound: Heading Towards R&B

Soon after announcing he was parting ways with One Direction, a new report suggested that Zayn is putting together a very “sexual” album that is far different to anything that the boy band has ever put out in the past.

“The music he’s making is completely different to anything One Direction have ever done before, it’s very slowed down R&B and quite sexual. It’s going to blow fans’ minds,” a source told Now magazine. Okay, Zayn. We’re in.
