Don’t hate me, Oncers. I’m going rogue. Emma’s has gotten kind of boring for me this season on ‘Once Upon A Time,’ and it’s time to spice things up with Emma going full-on evil!
Listen, I know Emma (Jennifer Morrison) is the savior and all, but the Queens of Darkness are stealing her Once Upon A Time thunder. The show has been planting seeds for Emma’s possible villainous turn, and I think it would be a terrific direction for her character. Unfortunately, every time Emma’s on the TV screen — aside from when she’s with Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) — all I do is yawn. Sorry, not sorry.
‘Once Upon A Time’: Emma Would Make A Better Villain
Rumple (Robert Carlyle) is planning on filling Emma’s heart with darkness, and I think that’s the best idea he’s had in a long time. In order for the villains to get their happy endings, Emma has to no longer be the savior.
YES! Emma becoming a villain would be a huge twist for the show and a good one at that. Emma’s always been kicking ass and taking names, so it’s never been way out of the realm of possibility. However, her valiant attempt at trying to bring everyone their happy ending has made her soft. She used to be sassy and bold. Now she’s just meh.
She’s not in Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) territory in terms of characters I hate, but she’s getting there. The only way for Emma to be saved in my book is for her to embrace villainy — at least for a little bit. For me, I want my characters to have an edge and some major angst. It’s no fun being good all the time. That’s what makes Regina (Lana Parilla) so amazing. She can play both sides effortlessly.
Given the preview for next week’s episode, I may not have to wait long for my evil wish to be granted. Emma obviously finds out about Snow’s shocking secret, and she doesn’t take it lightly. BRING ON THE EVIL.
However, I do NOT want this inevitable shift in alliances to jeopardize Emma’s relationship with Hook. Their relationship is my OTP. My beloved pirate has been through so much already.
HollywoodLifers, do you think Emma would make a better villain? Let me know!
