Former ‘Bachelorette’ stars are not at all happy with ABC for shocking us all on March 9 when they announced that next season of ‘The Bachelorette’ would actually have Britt and Kaitlyn competing. Desiree Harsock, Ali Fedotowsky were just two (of many) who felt this just pinned women against each other!
Not all surprises are good surprises, ABC. During The Bachelor: After the Final Rose, Chris Harrison announced that Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe would both be The Bachelorette, and on the first episode the men would choose who they wanted. Sort of a hurtful process, you think? Well many many people though that. Read the shocking responses the show received on social media!
‘Bachelorette’ Format Dissed For Pitting Britt V. Kaitlyn
Many have assumed that this would place Britt right against Kaitlyn — which isn’t a positive look for women! Plus, for Bachelorette, isn’t it the women who should be calling the shots, not the men . . . again? And who knows better than former Bachelorettes?
While Andi Dorfman didn’t come out and say she didn’t like the format, she was very vocal about being #TeamKaitlyn.
Desiree & More Are Not Happy
Not going to lie.. I’m a bit confused by 2 bachelorettes. Put girls against each other!? Don’t we already get enough of that. #TeamKaitlyn

The more I think about it, I can’t help but be upset about ABC choosing 2 #Bachelorettes. It’s going to be so hurtful to both the girls.

Judging by the hundreds of tweets I’m seeing, no one likes this duel bachelorette idea. Also, @clmgiudici thinks it’s disgusting.

Excuse me while I shake my head all night.

Celebrities also took to Twitter!
Idk how I feel about this whole two bachelorette thing. Very uncomfortable. Maybe have the guys do that first? Instead of women competing.

How about instead of the men deciding, they just do it Hunger Games style and we can watch Kaitlyn eat this girl for breakfast. #TeamKaitlyn

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Doe this new format pit woman against woman? Or will it be fun? Let me know!
