Daenerys isn’t playing games this season. Our Khaleesi has her eyes on the Starks, Lannisters, Tyrells and more families as she prepares to take them all down. Click to WATCH the newest ‘Game Of Thrones’ trailer now!
With only weeks until the season five Game of Thrones premiere, the anticipation of what’s to come for our favorite characters is heightening with each passing minute. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is truly ready to stake her claim amongst the Starks and Lannisters in Westeros and assert her place on the Iron Throne. And she’s got something no one has — DRAGONS. A new trailer debuted at the Apple Watch event on March 8, and it’s about to breathe some fire into your life.
‘Game Of Thrones’ Trailer: Daenerys Has Her Eye On The Throne In Season 5
“Lannister, Baratheon, Stark, Tyrell… they’re all just spokes on a wheel,” Daenerys boldly says in the opening moments of the trailer. “This one’s on top, then that one’s on top and on and on it spins, crushing those on the ground. I’m not going to stop the wheel. I’m going to break the wheel.”
Stannis (Stephen Dillane) has his army at Castle Black and wants to take the North. He’s not going to stop and is willing to risk everything. Meanwhile, Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is fighting for his voice to be heard. He truly believes the people of Westeros can learn to live amongst the Wildlings. (Rest in peace, Ygritte.)
Elsewhere in the trailer, there’s destruction, blood and all-out war. Season five is going to do a number on my nerves.
Daario (Michiel Huisman) warns, “Clean this city out, so the rats have nowhere left to hide.” God, I love him. Shipping Daenerys and Daario all the way home. Speaking of this pair, Daenerys and Daario are still a thing. While she’s in bed with Daario, Daenerys proclaims, “I am a queen. Not a butcher.”
Daario coolly replies, “All rules are either butchers or meat.” In a game of so many players, where will everyone end up?
Oh, and winter is coming. Prepare yourselves. Game of Thrones season five premieres April 12 on HBO.
