William Shatner, 83, was spotted for the first time since the death of Leonard Nimoy, 83, on Feb. 27 at a Florida airport, and he couldn’t hold back his tears, new pictures of the Star Trek star seem to indicate. Leonard was one of William’s dear friends and played Spock to his Captain Kirk. What a loss this must be for William.

William appeared exhausted and puffy-eyed after learning about the tragic passing of his friend Leonard. The actor apparently shed a few tears as he walked through a Florida airport, according to pictures seen on Daily Mail.
The former Star Trek star is in Florida to attend the Red Cross ball. This prior commitment sadly makes William incapable of attending Leonard’s funeral on March 1. William tweeted that he felt “really awful” about missing the service.
William released this statement about Leonard’s death: “I loved him like a brother. We will all miss his humor, his talent, and his capacity to love.”
This is so sad. Leonard will be so missed.
Nichelle Nichols, 82, who played Uhura on Star Trek, was “deeply saddened” to learn about Leonard. George Takei, who played Hikaru, praised the “extraordinarily talented man” that he knew so well.
Leonard passed away due to complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD. Our thoughts and prayers remain with Leonard’s friends and family during this sad time.
