The Voice Blind Auditions Recap
Street performer Anthony Riley completely killed it as the first contestant to audition during the blinds night 2. He sang “I Feel Good” and all four judges turned their chairs in the first 5 second — love when that happens! The judges begged for him to join their teams but it was Pharrell who gained the amazing artist in the end.
Gabriel Wolfchild (yes, he chose that last name for himself — it’s a tradition in his family) hit the stage next. “Don’t Think Twice” was the song he sang while Adam, Blake and Christina turned their chairs. Desperate for Gabriel to pick him, Adam declared “I love you….,” but it didn’t work! He picked Christina.
The beautiful Brooke Adee auditioned next singing the emotional song “Skinny Love” — Blake and Adam turned around immediately. Still desperate, Adam mocked Blake and Brooke said, “You guys remind me of Tom & Jerry” YES, girl. Spot on! She chose to join Team Blake leaving Adam empty-handed yet again.
Helloooo, Dylan Dunlap — what a hottie! He sang “Talk Dirty” and put his own unique twist on the popular song. None of the judges turned around! Such a let down, he was great!
Tanya Boyd-Cannon was the very first artist to join Team Adam for Season 8! She blew the judges out of the water with her rendition of “Happy” — she had such a soulful voice and optimistic attitude. We predict she will go far!
Next up, Joe Tolo sang “To Love Somebody” and hit a high note that made Christina stand up out of her chair! He became the next powerhouse to join Team Christina.
Mia Z sang “The Thrill Is Gone” — Blake and Pharrell fought for her to join their teams and Pharrell won the battle! He scored big because she is seriously talented – -wow.
Blaze Johnson sang The Fray’s “How To Save A Life” and nailed it! “I think you’re astounding” Adam said to win him over and it worked!
The last singer of the night Deanna Johnson returned to the Voice stage for the second time. She actually auditioned in Season 5 but didn’t make it. She sang “All I Want” and all four judges turned around — such an inspirational moment. Never give up on your dreams, people! Deanna joined Team Adam and he was SO happy to have her.
