Guiliana Rancic refuses to be pegged for a bad guy! After Zendeya called her out for saying a racially offensive comment about her hair, the E! News host took to her own Twitter to set the record straight.
Zendaya was NOT happy about Giuliana Rancic‘s “disrespectful” remarks on the Feb. 23 episode of Fashion Police — but Giuliana wants her to know, her words were not meant to be offensive at all! Check out G’s explanation via Twitter.
Giuliana Rancic Apologizes To Zendaya For Offending Her
Dear @Zendaya, I’m sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!!

That was nice of Giuliana to apologize but something tells us Zendaya will not be so forgiving. In case you’re a bit lost, Zendaya wore her hair in dreadlocks at the 2015 Oscars. During Fashion Police the next day, Giuliana commented on her look saying, “I feel like she smells like patchouli oil and weed.”
Zendaya’s Response To ‘Ignorant’ Comments
After Giuliana offended her, Zendaya took to Twitter to express her hurt feelings.
“There is a fine line between what is funny and disrespectful. Someone said something about my hair at the Oscars that left me in awe. Not because I was relishing in rave outfit reviews, but because I was hit with ignorant slurs and pure disrespect,” Zendaya wrote.
“To say that an 18 year old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or ‘weed’ is not only a large stereotype but outrageously offensive. I don’t usually feel the need to respond to negative things but certain remarks cannot go unchecked,” she continued.
