The hills were alive at the 2015 Oscars on Feb. 22. Lady Gaga wowed us with a stellar performance of ‘The Sound Of Music,’ ‘My Favorite Things,’ ‘Edelweiss,’ and more while commemorating the 50th anniversary of ‘The Sound of Music.’ Did you also love it? Watch it here!
Lady Gaga gave one of the most stunning performances of the night during the 2015 Oscars on Feb. 22. She sang a medley of hits from the Academy Award-winning film, The Sound Of Music, as a tribute to celebrate the movie’s 50th anniversary.
Lady Gaga wore a Swan Lake-esque gown while singing “The Sound Of Music,” “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” and “Climb Every Mountain.”
She nailed every tune, as her new diamond engagement ring sparkled under the lights. And Julie Andrews joined her on stage at the end of her performance.
Lady Gaga was amazing, however, we can’t help but wonder how Carrie Underwood feels. After the American Idol winner starred in the live version of The Sound of Music on NBC in Dec. 2013, we can see how this might feel like a snub. After all, why didn’t the Oscars producers invite Carrie to sing the tribute? (No disrespect to Lady Gaga, of course. She was phenomenal.)
Lady Gaga has more than just her stellar Oscars performance to be proud of. The “Bad Romance” singer is having anything but — she and her longtime boyfriend, Taylor Kinney, got engaged on Valentine’s Day.
After becoming engaged on Feb. 14, the happy couple allegedly celebrated at her family’s restaurant NYC restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, Us Weekly claims.
Lady Gaga and Taylor met on the set of her video for “You & I” in 2011. They soon starting dating after that, but briefly split in May 2012. They later reunited and appeared more in love than ever.
