Bruce Jenner: Car Crash Video Allegedly Sufaces — Is He Guilty?
An MTA bus was heading in the opposite direction of Bruce’s crash on the Pacific Coast highway and was allegedly able to capture the incident. HollywoodLife.com spoke to an insider who tells us that the Malibu Police Department has yet to watch the footage but they do have it.
While TMZ has not seen the bus’ footage, a source did reveal that it shows Bruce’s car making contact with the white Lexus, which then caused it to spin into oncoming traffic.
The recreated video is not based on the actual footage, but TMZ reports that is an accurate depiction of what did happen on the day of the accident.
HollywoodLife.com has learned that the police are still in the midst of compiling all of their evidence in this investigation. We’ve learned that they still have to complete all of the vehicle inspections. Also they have to weigh Bruce’s car to make sure it’s all within limits and legal.
The police has already conducted all of their interviews with eyewitnesses and we’ve learned that there are conflicting stories with the witnesses but that this whole investigation could take several months.
Yes, there is a possibility that Bruce could be responsible and just driving too fast.
If Bruce is proven to have caused the accident, Criminal Defense lawyer James E. Silverstein revealed EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com how the investigation will proceed and what Bruce could potentially be charged with.
“Bruce has put himself in a tough spot. He has admitted driving a vehicle which struck another vehicle, causing at least one death, and several other serious injuries. He has apparently told the Sheriff’s Department that he was not driving under the influence, and was attempting to flee paparazzi who were on his tail. Because of the death and serious injuries, the Sheriff’s Department will investigate all angles of this tragedy. When someone kills another person while behind the wheel, they can be charged with murder or manslaughter, depending on the circumstances.”
James also told us that Bruce could spend up to six years in prison if convicted of manslaughter: “If Bruce’s negligence was gross in nature, then he would be looking at a felony. A conviction for either regular or gross vehicular manslaughter would almost certainly result in a lengthy jail sentence. In the event of a gross vehicular manslaughter conviction, depending on what other charges are involved, Bruce could face up to six years or more behind bars.”
Following the incident, Bruce released a statement to HollywoodLife.com saying, “My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.”
Update: A Metro spokesman told HollywoodLife.com, “LASD has asked for and received video contents pertaining to a car crash on pch. That’s now part of the sheriffs departments investigation. We’re not going to comment on the contents of the video because that’s under investigation.”
In the re-creation video below, Bruce’s Cadillac is shown hitting both the Prius as well as the Lexus from behind.
