What happens when our favorite girl group covers our favorite boy group? Serious magic, that’s what. Fifth Harmony just took on a One Direction hit, and you have got to listen to this!
These are a few of our favorite things! Fifth Harmony is no stranger to producing incredible covers, but their latest might just take an extra special place in our hearts. That’s right, the ladies covered One Direction‘s old school hit “They Don’t Know About Us,” and the results are even better than you could have imagined.
Fifth Hamony’s One Direction Cover
The Fifth Harmony gals, Lauren, Ally, Normani, Camlia and Dinah have been busy down under, promoting their new album Reflection in Australia.
As an extra special treat, the group took on the song of another group of X Factor alum: One D!
Off the boys’ second album Take Me Home, the girls completely reinvented the song, bringing down the tempo and making it something their own.
So, we’ve wondered before, and we’ll wonder again: is a Fifth Harmony/One Direction collaboration in the works?
“We hope so,” Dinah said on Big Morning Buzz Live. “One of our really good friends…works with One Direction as well and it’s just crazy that Liam Payne recognized us on Twitter and told us about ‘Reflection.’ So, hopefully there’s something that’s going to happen.”
Um, that would be the most amazing (and numeric) collab ever!
Liam Payne Is Fifth Harmony’s Biggest Fan
Fifth Harmony might have laid down the special track to thank One Direction member Liam for giving the gals a promotional shoutout on Twitter.
He wrote on Feb. 3, “Hey everyone check out @FifthHarmony new album reflection and the song on it reflection is the best I wanna remix.”
With 124,317 retweets, we could see why the girls would want to give Liam a big ol’ thank you present!
What do you think of the remix? Did the song work or should the ladies stick to original material?
