The claws are out on Drake’s surprise new mixtape! He calls out his nemesis, Tyga, in ‘6PM in New York,’ and throws some serious shade at his relationship with Kylie Jenner! Listen to the diss here!
It’s a full out war between Tyga and Drake. Drizzy dropped his mixtape, If You’re Reading This, It’s Too Late on Feb. 13, and there was a loud and clear message in one song: he’s not a fan of Tyga. In his lyrics, he fires back at Tyga’s interview with Vibe magazine when he admitted he didn’t like Drake “as a person,” and that he thought he was “fake.” Hear Drake’s response here!
Drake Disses Tyga & Kylie Jenner On ‘6PM In New York’
On the new track, Drake raps:
I heard a lil lil homie talking reckless in Vibe
Quite a platform you chose, you shoulda kept it inside
Oh you tried, it’s so childish calling my name on the world stage
You need to act your age and not your girl’s age
Ouch! In case you need refreshing, Tyga, 25, spokeout to Vibe magazine in October, saying, “I don’t like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people.”
Tyga & Drake’s Ongoing Feud
So it’s clear that’s the interview Drake is referring to, but it is surprising he’d bring up Kylie Jenner (who is 17, eight years younger than Tyga) since they have been friends for years and he’s really close with the Kardashian family. He even performed at Kylie’s sweet 16 birthday (as we remind you below).
However, this feud has been going on for quite some time between the rappers. In October, Tyga released “Make It Work,” and called out an ex-friend for being “corny.”
Tyga also cast Drake’s ex, Dollicia Bryan, in one of his music videos and posted pics with his hand on her backside. Definitely throwing fuel on the fire.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Whose side are you on?
