Ethereal gowns with sheer detailing and feminine silhouettes made the Fall 2015 Tadashi Shoji collection a hit on the runway…and it is only a matter of time before his dreamy designs turn up on the red carpet!
Tadashi Shoji was inspired by the “beauty of flight” when dreaming up his Fall 2015 collection, which debuted at New York Fashion Week on Feb. 12 at Lincoln Center. The line consisted of ethereal silhouettes in silk organza, tulle and jacquard fabric. The palette ran all over the spectrum, from black and ivory to bolder jewel tones as sheer was prominent throughout the collection. The designer also incorporated capes — a trend that was so abundant on the Fall 2014 runways, (and in the designer’s Fall 2014 collection!). From Octavia Spencer, (a devoted Tadashi fan!), to Nina Dobrev and Michelle Obama, we can see so many famous faces embracing the latest collection!
Tadashi Shoji’s Fall 2015 Collection — Runway PICS:
Kesha sat front row in a navy floor-length skirt and leather jacket, oversized sunglasses firmly in place, as the dreamy looks made their way down the runway. The show opened with a fit-and-flare white dress, proving that the winter white trend isn’t going anywhere next season.
The highlight in the collection, (per usual), was definitely the gowns. My personal favorite was a long-sleeved, white silhouette which featured a cowl neck open back that dipped down low, showing off a sexy hint of skin — it is a look I could totally see the stylish Nicole Richie wear! While the dress had a minimalistic yet chic vibe, a slew of the dresses that closed the show consisted of layers upon layers of tulle in a slew of shades.
A faux fur jacket and faux fur dress, complete with crystal embellishments, were youthful and fun — and I would love to see the flapper-esque frock on Nina Dobrev! A sleeveless dress in a pretty print with pockets looked like it was made with the FLOTUS in mind — after all, she loves showing off her toned arms in gorgeous, full gowns.
Not only are we right in the middle of awards season, but with premieres and promotional tours right around the corner for so many stars, I think it is only a matter of time before Tadashi’s dreamy creations wind up on the red carpet.
