Following a six-year hiatus from the Grammy Awards, Kanye West made his triumphant return with a killer performance of his new single, ‘Only One,’ during the 57th annual ceremony on Feb. 8. Watch it here!
After spending several years blasting and boycotting the Grammy Awards for snubbing him in major categories, Kanye West, 37, returned to the annual awards show for not one, but two performances on Feb. 8. His performance of “Only One” at the Staples Center in Los Angeles was by far one of our favorites of the night.
Kanye West’s Grammy Performance — He Raps ‘Only One’ For North West
As soon as Kanye appeared on the stage, above a single spotlight, the audience went quiet in anticipation. Clearly, his presence at the Grammy Awards was sorely missed.
Kim Kardashian‘s husband and North West‘s daddy performed what many call his most emotional track to date. Decked out in his new Adidas tracksuit and a gold chain, Kanye rapped about his precious daughter while the audience watched in awe.
As soon as he disappeared — almost like a magic trick — his peers erupted in applause.
Kanye West Sings ‘FourFiveSeconds’ At The Grammys
And that’s not all, Kanye also performed his new song, “FourFiveSeconds,” with Rihanna and Paul McCartney. It was just as amazing as his first go round on stage.
When Kanye sang “If I go to jail tonight, Promise you’ll pay my bail,” Paul ad libbed that he would help Kanye out if that happens.
Kanye seemed to be so excited to share the stage with the great Paul McCartney. He was acting like a kid in a candy store, smiling and having a really good time.
Kanye’s performances were truly groundbreaking. They may even break the internet if they haven’t already.
