Jimmy Fallon brought back the 90s by reuniting the cast of ‘Saved By The Bell’ on the ‘The Tonight Show.’ However, two of Bayside High’s most memorable students were missing and HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned why!
The Saved by the Bell cast is back! Jimmy Fallon reunited Tiffani Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley, Mark Paul Gosselaar, Mario Lopez and Dennis Haskins for a hilarious skit on the Feb. 4, episode of The Tonight Show, but where were Screech (Dustin Diamond) and Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies)?! Here’s what we know.
‘Saved By The Bell’ Cast Reunites — Dustin Diamond & Lark Voorhies Absent
It was great to see our favorite cast from the 90s back together again, but we definitely missed Lisa and Screech. A source exclusively revealed to HollywoodLife.com why Dustin was absent.
“Jimmy has wanted to do this forever and the animosity between Dustin and the rest of the cast was way too much to handle. The rest of the cast was on board al along but they didn’t want to deal with Dustin‘s constant bullshit, so they set up what we saw last night without him,” our insider revealed. “He was not invited and they got it done without him.”
Hopefully, Dustin will be able to get back on the good side of his former cast mates so he will be able to be included in any future reunions!
Meanwhile, “Lark would have loved to be part of the Jimmy Fallon skit (as she is a big fan of the show), however due to an intense work schedule she was not available,”the actresses publicist told E! News.
In the hilarious skit, Kelly (Tiffani Thiessen) is a pregnant cheerleader while AC Slater (Mario Lopez) is destined to be a dancer on perhaps a show just like Dancing With The Stars meanwhile Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) has become a DJ. We loved seeing Jimmy as one of the characters and with the whole gang singing “Friends Forever,” it couldn’t have been much better!
