Is the feud finally over? Katy Perry, 30, seems to have complimented her frenemy, Taylor Swift, 25, during an interview with Elle magazine. Inside the March 2015 issue, Katy talks about pop stars in the media, and while doing so, she described the “Blank Space” singer in a very positive way.
“You’ve got to name someone the villain, someone the princess, someone the mom-, the dad-type—you know there always have to be characters. As pop figures, we’re all characters. And the media uses that. Who is the sweetheart, who is the villain? You know. Taylor‘s the sweetheart. [Kanye West’s] the villain. That’s the narrative,” Katy told Elle magazine.
Sorry, Kanye. According to Katy, you’re the villian of our generation. But Taylor couldn’t have gotten described in a nicer way.
We have to say, this is very big of Katy. Especially when considering Taylor “nitpicked” Katy’s Super Bowl Halftime performance.
As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Taylor nearly missed Katy mocking her because she was too busy nitpicking the performance.
“Taylor missed the diss because she was busy nitpicking everything from the performance. She really doesn’t like Katy at all,” our source adds.
Maybe Taylor will change her mind after reading what Katy had to say about her. Being called a sweetheart seems like a really nice compliment. Don’t you agree?!
We’d love to see these two become good friends again!
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you surprised Katy called Taylor a “sweetheart”? Tell us how you feel!
