It’s just a glimpse, but it’s enough to get us excited for the full ‘Daredevil’ teaser being released Feb. 4! We are beyond excited for Marvel’s new Netflix series from the first looks of it. Click to watch the exciting action go down!
The very first footage from Marvel’s Daredevil debuted in a 15-second teaser trailer, and it’s enough to get our hearts racing! The new Marvel series will hit Netflix in April, and we are dying with anticipation.
‘Daredevil’ Teaser: Marvel’s Netflix Series Releases Short New Clip
The teaser shows off the star of the show, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), of course in his all-black Daredevil suit, bursting down a door in a dark corridor.
“I’m just trying to make my city a better place,” he says.
That’s all, folks. At least until the full trailer is released on Feb. 4! We’re so excited about the new Netflix installment, which also stars Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Vincent D’Onofrio as Daredevil’s nemesis, Wilson Fisk, a.k.a. The Kingpin.
Marvel’s TV head Jeph Loeb and showrunner Steven S. DeKnight, dished on Daredevil to Entertainment Weekly about how the series will feel more like a crime story and less like a superhero show.
“We really wanted to take our cue from [films like] The French Connection, Dog Day Afternoon, Taxi Driver, and make it very, very grounded, very gritty, very real,” Steven said. ”We always say we would rather lean toward The Wire than what’s considered a classic superhero television show.” Jeph added, “There aren’t going to be people flying through the sky. There are no magic hammers.”
However, the Marvel world will certainly not be ignored!
“It does take place in the Marvel cinematic universe,” Loeb said. “It’s all connected. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that we would look up in the sky and see [Iron Man]. It’s just a different part of New York that we have not yet seen in the Marvel movies.”
Daredevil will be available to stream on Netflix on April 10.
