Stuart Scott Tribute: ESPN’s Suzy Kolber Cries During NFL Super Bowl Countdown
It was pretty hard to watch Suzy talk about Stuart without feeling her loss! He was a staple in ESPN’s Super Bowl coverage, and worked closely with Suzy for many years.
She bravely held it together as she began to review her favorite memories of the late Stuart Scott, but it became hard to hold back the tears when she said, “I was honored to hold his daughter, Taylor, the day she was born. And she held my daughter Kellen on the day of her birth.”
It was clearly a very difficult moment for her, but she had the support of her co-anchors who encouraged her that she was “doing great”. We couldn’t agree more!

Suzy went on to share her favorite picture of Stuart, which was taken from her daughter’s very first NFL game at just 9 months old. The picture of them together was magical for her, and she said what she’ll miss most about Stuart were his warm hugs.
“He was universally known for his hugs — strong, meaningful and full of love. We can’t replace that.”
Suzy went on to complete the program and even though she got a little choked up, she did such an amazing and professional job moving forward with the show.
We think its awesome that she shared such raw emotions with millions of viewers, and she reminded us all of Stuart Scott’s great legacy.
