Mercedes-Benz Super Bowl Commercial 2015 — Ad Debuts On ‘Ellen’
Host Ellen DeGeneres celebrated her 57th birthday by gifting two audience members brand new Mercedes-Benz cars.
Following the giveaway, Ellen debuted the new commercial. Surprisingly, this is only the second time she’s premiered a Super Bowl ad on her talk show.
In the ad, which features an edgy take on the famous tortoise vs. hare race, the reptile finally comes out on top!
At first, he seems to be losing, but then he comes across a Mercedes-Benz factory. “Slow and steady wins the race, my ass,” he says before hopping in a brand new AMG GT sports car.
The silly rabbit, who stopped to play some poker along the way, soon regrets his decision to take a pitstop when the sports car zooms by.
The tortoise also seems to have stolen the hare’s girlfriend.
