Congrats, Patricia Arquette! Snagging the SAG award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Supporting Role was none other than the outstanding Patricia, who gave an emotional performance in ‘Boyhood’.
Patricia Arquette is on a roll! The Boyhood actress took home her third award this season at the SAG Awards, for her heartfelt performance in the Richard Linklater directed film. She totally deserved it!
Patricia Arquette Wins SAG Award For Outstanding Female Actor — Supporting Role
Patricia stunned on stage wearing an emerald green dress, and tied back her blonde locks showing off her pretty face. You would think she would be a pro at accepting awards, but the actress got emotional when accepting the award for the critically acclaimed film!
Now that Patricia has taken home a Golden Globe Award, a Critics’ Choice Award, and a SAG Award, does this mean the stunning actress will also win the Academy Award on Feb. 22? Fingers crossed!
Either way, we’re so proud of Patricia for being honored for this outstanding role. Patricia played the mother to Mason (Ellar Coltrane) and Samantha (Lorelei Linklater) in the emotional docu-drama which follows a family for 12 years as they grow older.
Patricia’s character goes through tumultuous marriages and struggles to support her children, but her unconditional love for them holds her together (and sometimes breaks her apart). Patricia’s performance in Boyhood emotionally tied the film together, and without her, it would not have been as powerful.
Plus, there was some hefty competition in this category! Between Emma Stone in Birdman, Meryl Streep in Into the Woods, Keira Knightley in The Imitation Game, and Naomi Watts in St. Vincent, there were a ton of great performances from these talented actresses.
But alas, Patricia was crowned with the victory and we couldn’t be prouder.
