The highly-anticipated ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ is revamping it’s roster. On Jan. 22, it was revealed that ‘Game of Thrones’ fixture Sophie Turner will star as Jean Grey in the marvel movie! So exciting.
Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on HBO’s Game of Thrones is sure to turn heads in her new role as one of X-Men‘s favorite mutants, Jean Grey. We simply can’t wait to see this British babe kick major butt as the telepathic mutant in X-Men: Apocalypse!
‘X-Men: Apocalypse’: Sophie Turner Cast As Jean Gray — ‘GOT’ Star Lands Role
It’s almost as if X-Men: Apocalypse Director, Bryan Singer, read our minds (just like Jean Gray) when he decided to put Sophie Turner, 18, on the big screen!

These “brilliant young” stars will play the younger versions of the fully matured mutant superheroes, including Jean Gray, Cyclops and Storm.
It will be a nice change of pace to see Sophie, who is usually suffering as GOT’s Sansa Stark, play a fierce female in the film. If you recall, Famke Janssen was the original actress to play Jean Gray.
We are also super excited for new (mutant) blood after learning that Alexandra Shipp, 23, was cast as Storm!
