The Critics’ Choice Awards took place on January 15 in Los Angeles, California, and while the competition for Best Actress was fierce, so was 33-year-old Emily Blunt’s beauty look. Find out the exact products her makeup artist used to achieve her gorgeous, glowing skin!
Emily Blunt At 2015 Critics Choice Movie Awards — Flawless Face With Baszicare
“As always, the most important step is the skin prep,” Jenn told HollywoodLife.com. She used baszicare Astra Eye Contour Cream, which is enriched with chamomile extract, around the eye, and then applied the lightweight baszicare Vivax Deluge Lift Moisturizer, which is chock-full with orange blossom and pomegranate extracts.
Giving time for the skincare to soak into Emily’s face, Jenn started with her eye makeup.
Jenn used Charlotte Tilbury Chameleon Eyeshadow pencils — Amber Haze on the lids and Golden Quartz close to the lash line — and then blended them with her finger. “I like to blend quickly, because the product dries fast. But then it stays and doesn’t move — which is why I love these pencils so much!”
For amazing lashes, she used lots of Full Fat Lashes on both the top and bottom lashes.
For Emily’s dewy skin, Jenn “moistened a beauty blender with baszicare Roseus Floral Hydrating Toner to blend in the Chanel foundation (Vitalumere).”
She used Chanel Rose Bronze blush for a bronze cheek.
Jenn used Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Stylo (#2) and a touch of NARS Larger Than Life Lipgloss in Piree for Emily’s “fabulous lip.”
Emily Blunt’s Wavy Hair — How To
Celebrity stylist Ashley Streicher created the look using Rich Hair Care.
“It’s sexy, ‘cool girl’ hair — tousled, textured, waved and volumized,” Ashley told us.
“After discussing the look with her make-up artist, my sister Jenn Streicher, we agreed that since the gown was so formal, we wanted to ‘cool’ up the hair a bit and do a bronzed smokey eye and nude lip. Emily loved the idea.”
“Emily had just come home after getting fresh blonde balayaged highlights with Tracey Cunningham, and arriving with wet, freshly washed hair. It was actually great for the texture that I wanted to create for her.”
Here’s how to get the exact look:
“I combed RICH Argan Volumizing Mousse through her wet hair from roots to ends and blow dried with a round brush for natural volume.
I then center parted her hair and added volume at the crown.
Next, I took about 1 1/2 square inch sections (starting at the nape of the neck) and sprayed each with RICH Sure Hold Hairspray before wrapping them around a 1 inch hot rod, leaving just the very ends out.
When releasing the hair from the barrel, I pulled it straight down to cool while slightly roughing it up with my fingers. I did this all the way up the head until the very top front.
On top, in front, I made an “S” wave with my flat iron.
I then warmed a small amount of RICH Rejuvenating Argan Oil Elixir in my palms and pulled it through all of her ends while shaking some of her wave out. This separated the texture while keeping the ends healthy looking and shiny.
I then gently back combed the crown and gave her a nice little head rub to create some texture and break up the curl.
To complete, I quickly ran a flat iron over random curls, to make it a little less perfect, while keeping the volume.
I locked the look with RICH Sure Hold Hairspray! Viola! Sexy ‘cool girl’ hair!”
