Actress Amy Adams brought us back to the 1950s with her sweet and sassy hair and makeup look at the Critics’ Choice Awards at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. Amy’s hair was tied up in a fun, high ponytail that showed off her bouncy curls. Her makeup was classic and vintage-inspired, with very defined eyes and bright red lips.
Amy’s makeup look was focused on her red lips, but her eyes were equally as gorgeous. For the eyes, a light dusting of a shimmery champagne color was applied to her lid, and a light brown was gently applied to the crease to just slightly warm up the look.
To copy Amy’s look, line your eyes with a thick line of black liquid liner, and stop the liner right where your lashes end. Coat your upper lashes with plenty of mascara.
As for the lips, pick a well pigmented, matte red color. Try Charlotte Tilbury ‘K.I.S.S.I.N.G Fallen From The Lipstick Tree’ Lipstick.
The celeb’s hair was pulled back into a sleek ponytail placed high upon her head for a more flirty feel.
To recreate Amy’s look, start by curling the ends of your hair in one direction. Amy’s curls are clean and distinct, so take your time while doing so. Then gather all of your hair up into a high ponytail, and smooth out any bumps or frizz. Secure with an elastic and finish off with a few spritzes of medium hold hairspray.
